Shipping policy

ORDER CANCELLATION  Be sure you want the items before placing your order. There will be a cancellation fee of 5% to cover credit card and PayPal fee we must still pay. 

UPS NEXT DAY SHIPPING   The cart is not able to accurately figure Next Day shipping rates on all product orders because of the carrier's policy of charging for dimensional weight if applicable. It will give accurate rates on fish orders.  If there is any problem on a product shipment we will let you know before shipping the items.

MOST SUPPLY ORDERS will ship within one business day of receipt. Some items may cause a delay. Perishable items like plants, snails, active filters, and fish have to be shipped to avoid weekend delays and extreme weather. For these items we only ship Monday through Wednesday, weather permitting. For product orders, overnight and other air shipments may not actually be shipped for one business day after receipt. You should receive these one day after the day we ship.

LIVE FISH ORDERS must be shipped by UPS Next Day. Suitable weather and customer availability is critical, so shipping arrangements are made by email. We ship live fish Monday through Wednesday. Live fish can only be shipped to locations in the United States. They can be shipped for pickup at UPS Access Points. No other items can be shipped with live fish. If you add them to the same order, they will ship out separately by the least expensive method. 

PRIORITY MAIL and USPS Ground Advantage do not have a reliable transit time in our experience. The cart gives an estimate for time-in-transit, but we find that it can vary greatly.
