We have chosen Peruvian scalare for these crosses, because we believe they are the most beautiful variant of wild angelfish. Peruvians have a lot of yellow on the body and reddish hues in the fins. They also tend to have a lot of body speckles. The ventral are blue and curve in a half-moon shape. Many of these traits pass to the F1 crosses.
