Aquarium Decorations
Aquarium decorations serve a purpose other than to please us.
Fish appreciated them too. Driftwood is greatly desired as an
item to chew on, by plecos. We provide this to all of our bristlenose.
Other aquarium decorations offer hiding places and security
to fish. Fish in decorated aquariums, typically have better
color, are more bold and are healthier. Aquarium decorations
actually reduce stress - this is a very good thing.
Aquarium-safe driftwood
We chose this driftwood because of a couple reasons. First, it is very heavy and will not float.
This makes it easy to use and more durable. It lasts longer. Second, our bristlenose love it. Our driftwood
comes in a variety of interesting shapes - all unique.
Aquarium Plants
Plants are not only decorative, but useful in many breeding situations.
They offer hiding places for newly born fry and give
security for shy adults. They can even be used as a
spawning medium. We have both live plants
and artificial.
The Exotic Environments are very realistic artificial aquarium decorations and are great to show off in bare bottom tanks as well as aquariums with gravel. Below is a photo of one of our grow-out tanks with a "Large Ashwood" in it. These wilds are significantly more comfortable in a tank with lots of plants and decorations. So, even though we're a hatchery, we have plenty of decorations in most of our tanks. |
